Kexun Liu is a classically trained pipa player with more than 17 years of experience in traditional Chinese music. She began her studies at age six with Prof. Zhen Zeng—Chair of the Chongqing Pipa Society and Distinguished Professor at Southwest University—and Qian Jing, Board Member of the Pipa & Ruan Committee of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society. In 2015 Kexun passed the Grade 10 national amateur pipa examination (the highest level) and captured the Silver Prize at the prestigious national “Dunhuang Cup” competition. She later received a full-tuition scholarship offer from the Bard US–China Music Institute and, in 2025, earned a B.A. in Mathematics & Computer Science from New York University. Equally adept on Chinese and Western plucked-string instruments—including pipa, ruan, liuqin, and guitar—Kexun delivers a versatile, cross-cultural sound. Her performing credits span leading venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City and the Chongqing Grand Theatre in China.

刘珂浔6岁起师从重庆市琵琶学会主席曾臻教授和中国民族管弦乐协会琵琶、阮分会理事钱静老师，拥有超过17年的琵琶学习与演奏经验。13岁通过琵琶业余十级，曾获“敦煌杯”琵琶独奏全国银奖等国内多个专业奖项，也曾获巴德美中音乐研习院双学位全奖Offer，2025年获得纽约大学数学与计算机学士学位。曾在纽约林肯艺术中心、重庆大剧院等多个国际级舞台演出，精通琵琶、中阮、小阮、柳琴、吉他、尤克里里等多种中西弹拨乐器，具有广泛的音乐背景及表演经历。
