Ms. Chin graduated from the National Taiwan Academy of Arts majoring in Sheng Performance. She was a initial member of the Kaohsiung City Chinese Orchestra , the first professional Chinese Orchestra in southern Taiwan, and has performed more than 100 concerts and recorded 3 CDs et cetera during 1989 to 1993. KCCO participated in the Asian Games Arts Festival In Beijing in 1990, the first Taiwanese Chinese Orchestra official visiting. Carrie came to the US in 1980s and earned a Master Degree in Music Education from the Rutgers University. Carrie joined CMENY since 2003 and has been a lead Sheng player for CMENY since then.

Over the years, Carrie was invited to perform with the North America’s Qun Opera Society, the Nini Dance Troup, and other cultural organizations touring and performing across the North America.

金祖瑞畢業於國立藝專（今國立臺灣藝術大學），主修笙演奏。她是高雄市國樂團的創團成員之一，該團為臺灣南部第一支專業國樂團。1989年至1993年間，她隨團演出超過百場，並錄製三張音樂專輯。1990年，高雄市國樂團代表臺灣參加北京亞運藝術節，成為首支正式訪問中國的臺灣國樂團。秦老師於1980年代赴美，並於羅格斯大學（Rutgers University）取得音樂教育碩士學位。自2003年起，她加入紐約中國民族樂團，並擔任樂團的笙首席至今。

多年來，金老師亦曾受邀與北美崑曲協會、妮妮舞團以及其他文化團體合作，在北美各地巡迴演出，致力於推廣中華傳統音樂與藝術。
